West Ham fans think there is a Jesse Lingard hint in final Premier League squad list
West Ham fans suspect that Jesse Lingard could soon return to the club after they released their final Premier League squad.
Lingard has been without a club since the end of last season having seen out his one-year contract with Nottingham Forest.

The former Manchester United star spent the second half of the 2021/21 season at West Ham, a hugely impressive stint which saw him score nine goals and provide five assists across 16 matches in a campaign which saw them secure Europa League qualification.
Hammers boss David Moyes confirmed to talkSPORT that Lingard has been training at the east London side since leaving Forest.
The Scotsman then said there’s no ‘real update’ on his situation at the moment, but fans think the 30-year-old could be back soon.
West Ham announced a 24-man squad for the first of the Premier League season on Thursday, and said: “Clubs who have not filled all 25 places may sign and register free agents who are without a club at any time, subject to Premier League approval.”
As a result, Hammers fans believe it could be left vacant for Lingard with one saying on X: “They’ve one space left and can still register free agents so still chance for Lingz.”
“We have one spot left, so I believe this can be saved for Jesse,” added another supporter.
A third said: “Get Lingard signed, if he is not fully fit at the moment he would make a great impact player until he is.”
“Welcome Lingard,” said a confident fourth, who added a hammers emoji as they eye a permanent return of the attacking midfielder.

Lingard, who made 232 appearances for Man United, scored just twice in 20 games for Forest last season.
Should he move back to east London on a permanent basis, he would join a West Ham side who have highly impressed so far this term.
The Hammers have won three of their opening four Premier League matches, including a 3-1 victory over Chelsea.
Moyes’ side currently sit fourth in the table and if Lingard was to return with his past West Ham form, then success could certainly be on the cards for the Hammers once again.
