Wrexham have returned to League Two this season following a 15-year-absence from the Football League.

A dramatic National League title race against Notts County saw them come out on top and seal their comeback to the fourth tier.

Wrexham have won just once since their return, with their first game back seeing them get pumped 5-3 at home to MK Dons.

The goals continued to flow at the Racecourse Ground with a 4-2 win over Walsall after their 1-1 draw away at Wimbledon.

It meant that 14 league goals were scored on their home turf before Saturday, but that tally increased significantly against Swindon.

The Robins took a 4-1 lead into the break to leave Wrexham with a huge job to do in the second-half.

Phil Parkinson’s side made it 3-4 soon after the restart but Swindon then scored their fifth in the 71st minute as they closed in on a win.

However, James Jones commenced their second comeback in the second minute of stoppage-time before Elliot Lee was the hero from the spot in the sixth.

Wrexham therefore sealed a dramatic 5-5 draw against Swindon, and their Hollywood owners had a simple message to their fans after.

“So much heart. #NeverLeaveAWrexhamMatchEarly,” Reynolds wrote on Twitter.

McElhenney added: “Never. Ever. Ever. Leave a Wrexham game!.

“This team and this town will never ever give up. All heart all the time.”

The result sees Wrexham sit 15th in League Two after four games, with 13 goals scored and 13 goals conceded.

Hollywood has certainly taken over the club as they continue to entertain in blockbuster matches.
