Roy Keane tells Mohamed Salah to ‘sit down and shut up’ for his Liverpool substitution tantrum
Roy Keane was less than impressed with Mohamed Salah’s reaction to being substituted by Jurgen Klopp against Chelsea.
With just under 15 minutes remaining in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw against the Blues, the Egyptian was taken off for Ben Doak.

Salah shined earlier in the match as he provided a sublime assist for Luis Diaz to open the scoring in the first half.
However, Klopp opted to bring him off for the latter stages of the match as the two sides went on to see out the draw.
There is no mistaking that Salah disagreed with the decision as he was visibly furious and even ignored his boss as he took to the bench.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Keane was critical of the star’s attitude as he said: “It’s okay to be upset but don’t keep it going too long.
“He was shaking his head and sitting on the bench with his arms in the air. Sit down and shut up. You have to take.”
Despite what happened, Klopp himself admitted he does not have a problem with Salah’s response: “I can understand because if Mo scored it would have been a new record for goals scored in the opening game, but I didn’t think about that.
“We needed stability and we needed fresh legs. It was super intense for everybody. That’s all I can say about it, his reaction was absolutely okay.
“When I sub a player and he is jumping in to my arms at 1-1 and he is a striker who thinks he will score, I would be really surprised so that’s absolutely fine.”

Salah scored against his former club on Sunday afternoon but the goal was chalked off for offside by VAR.
It meant that for the first time in his seven seasons at Anfield, he has failed to score on the opening weekend of the Premier League.
However he can certainly be pleased with his assist for Diaz, an excellent through ball to the onrushing Colombian.
Liverpool’s efforts at Stamford Bridge were soon undone though as Axel Disasi scored on his Chelsea debut to ensure it finished 1-1.
