Rangers vs PSV Eindhoven: Team news

Beale rested several key players for Rangers’ Scottish League Cup clash against Morton on Saturday.

This means the Gers are expected to line up with their strongest 11 this week with new arrivals Danilo, Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers and Jose Cifuentes set to feature.

Captain James Tavernier and Borna Barisic are both likely to return at full-back while Todd Cantwell and Ryan Jack may start.

As for PSV, Mauro Junior and Patrick van Aanholt are both out injured with the Dutch side struggling for options at left back.

Star man Noa Lang missed their win at the weekend but replacement Yorbe Vertessen stepped up to score and may start in this clash.

Former Rangers loanee Malik Tillman scored against PSV in this fixture last year but could help them progress this time around.

Rangers vs PSV Eindhoven: What has been said?

Ahead of the huge game, Rangers boss Beale addressed the changes in his squad and has called for the Gers fans to make it a special night at Ibrox.

He said: “The majority of the group will be fresh for Tuesday so the plan to get the win and not play everyone [against Morton] worked.

“It’s got to be a typical Rangers Ibrox European night where the fans have to be up and the players have to take the game to PSV.

“Our aim is to win the game but we get nothing for the end result on Tuesday.”
