Premier League Golden Boot 2023/24: Who has most goals this season and who has most assists and clean sheets?
We are four games into the 2023/24 Premier League season and there have already been some stellar displays from some of the top-flight’s best players.
Erling Haaland has picked up where he left off and has scored in three of Manchester City’s opening four games, while he also missed a penalty against Sheffield United, so could have even more.

As a result, he leads the race for the Premier League Golden Boot, but a couple of players aren’t far behind.
And elsewhere, the chase to be the Playmaker of the Season is hotting up, as is the battle for the Golden Glove.
Premier League 2023/24: Golden Boot race
After smashing in 36 top-flight goals last season, Haaland has picked up where he left off and has scored six times for City already this term.
He grabbed a double on the opening day against Burnley, scored again against Sheffield United and helped himself to a hat-trick in a 5-1 win over Fulham.
But he is closely followed by Brighton’s Evan Ferguson and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.
Ferguson smashed in a hat-trick against Newcastle before the international break to move onto four goals, while Mbeumo has also scored four times.
There are then five players all tied on three goals, including Tottenham’s Heung-min Son and West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen.

Premier League 2023/24: Playmaker of the Season battle
James Ward-Prowse to West Ham always looked like a great fit, given his dead-ball ability, and it’s proving to be just that.
The Hammers midfielder has three assists from just three games, including two from corners.
He is joint top in the race for Playmaker of the Season with Kaoru Mitoma, Phil Foden and Pedro Neto.
Tottenham’s James Maddison has had a great start to life in north London, and he’s got two assists along with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
Plus, with Kevin De Bruyne out for so long, the competition to win this award should be wide open.

Premier League 2023/24: Golden Glove chase
From the opening four weeks of the Premier League season, there have only been 14 clean sheets.
Manchester City’s Ederson is responsible for two of those and Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario has another pair.
That leaves just ten clean sheets across the rest of the 18 Premier League teams, which shows that defences definitely haven’t been on top in the opening rounds of the top-flight.
