Piers Morgan and Laura Woods love Arsenal star Leandro Trossard’s goal at Everton

Leandro Trossard’s winning goal at Everton had Arsenal fans rejoicing, and the way it was crafted had them purring too.

Arsenal finally broke down the Toffees on 69 minutes when Trossard struck the ball in-off the post with his left foot, which was enough to seal a 1-0 win.

But the Belgian has a number of his teammates to thank as it came through a well-worked routine following a short corner.

It all started when the corner from the right was played back to Fabio Vieira on the edge of the box.

Vieira then moved it right to Oleksandr Zinchenko, who helped it across to Martin Odegaard. The Norwegian then played a precise through ball inside the box to Bukayo Saka, who dragged it back to Trossard, who did the rest with a first-time effort.

The goal could be crucial for Arsenal as they look to stay in touch with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League, with the win seeing Arsenal go two points behind the champions with 13.

And famous Arsenal fans Piers Morgan and Laura Woods were loving what they saw.

“0-1… Brilliant goal… ⁦@LTrossard [clapping emojis],” Morgan said on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“Lovely, lovely Trossard,” Woods said on X.

It appeared it was going to be one of those days for Arsenal when Gabriel Martinelli’s early strike was ruled out after a VAR review.

But the goal was disallowed due to an offside in the build-upsky sports

Arsenal still found a way to get the three points despite the setbackGetty

Earlier in the move, Eddie Nketiah, who appeared to be stood in an offside position, received the ball despite it ricocheting off Everton forward Beto before reaching the Gunners frontman. The PGMOL ruled that the ball striking Beto was not a deliberate act, meaning the play didn’t reset.

Martinelli went off injured not long after but was replaced by Trossard, who ended up being the match-winner.
