Newcastle face Man City, Chelsea star Moises Caicedo set for Brighton return, while Arsenal get tricky test in Carabao Cup
Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester City all have big games to come in the Carabao Cup third round.
The Gunners have been drawn against Brentford in a London derby while Chelsea will face Brighton, who have lost several players, including record signing Moises Caicedo, and coaches to the club in recent times.
Pep Guardiola’s City are involved in the best draw of the roundGetty
But perhaps the draw of the round is Newcastle vs City at St James’ Park in what could easily have been the final of the competition.
City have dominated the Carabao Cup in recent years and had won five of the last seven finals.
However, they have missed out on the last two years while Newcastle reached the final last season only to lose to Manchester United.
Now one of the two big hitters will be sent crashing out of the competition when the third round commences on the week of September 25.
