Morocco are playing Liberia and Burkina Faso over the international break but without Amrabat, the news being confirmed with head coach Walid Regragui already calling up Wydad Casablanca midfielder Yahya Jabranea as a replacement.
The former Club Brugge star was loaned to United from Fiorentina on Deadline Day after the player told the Italian outfit he was desperate to leave.
It has always been a dream of his to play in the Premier League for the Red Devils.
And another factor was Ten Hag, who gave Amrabat his debut while in charge of Utrecht.
Having sold Fred, the Dutch coach was keen on bolstering his midfield numbers.

While Mount was brought in from Chelsea, he was desperate for a more defensive-minded player to be brought in.
As well as Amrabat and Mount, Ten Hag has signed Andre Onana, Rasmus Hojlund and Jonny Evans this summer, as well as Sergio Reguilon on loan.
But it has been a tough start to the season with defeats to Arsenal and Tottenham already.
