Caicedo’s future remains undecided thus farGetty
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed the club have agreed a deal with Brighton to sign the 21-year-old in a press conference on Friday.
Caicedo’s preferred destination has always been Stamford Bridge but the two clubs have so far been unable to settle on a fee.
Reports claim the Ecuador international has told Liverpool he only wants to join Chelsea after agreeing personal terms in May.
The Blues had been negotiating with the Seagulls all summer, seeing multiple bids rejected before Liverpool swooped in with a £111m bid.
Chelsea are yet to make a new bid for Caicedo and it is understood they will now need to match the Reds’ offer.
