Mason Greenwood wanted by Roma as Manchester United weigh up whether to offload forward on loan
Roma are one of a number of Italian clubs who would consider signing Mason Greenwood, talkSPORT understands.
Manchester United are deciding whether to agree a settlement over the final two years of Greenwood’s contract, sell him or send him out on loan.

The Red Devils announced on Monday that the 21-year-old will leave the club following his arrest in January 2022.
Greenwood has been suspended since he was arrested on suspicion of rape, assault and making threats to kill.
Erik ten Hag’s side launched their own internal investigation after the CPS dropped all charges against Greenwood in February 2023.
It has been widely reported that United’s chief executive Richard Arnold had told the club’s executive leadership in early August that the club were planning to bring Greenwood back.
But following increased pressure on the club, the decision has been made for Greenwood to move on.
And talkSPORT understands that his future could be in Serie A, with Roma just one Italian side that would be willing to sign him.
Should he make the move to join the Rome outfit, he would link up with his former United boss Jose Mourinho.
Greenwood failed to feature under the tutelage of the Special One, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer handing him his competitive debut following Mourinho’s dismissal.

Though Mourinho did include him in United’s squad for their pre-season tour of America in July 2018.
It was there where Greenwood made his first-team debut – coming on as a second half substitute in a 1-1 draw against Club America.
In total, Greenwood has featured in 129 matches for United in all competitions – chipping in with 35 goals.
He has also has one England cap, which came in a UEFA Nations League clash against Iceland in September 2020.
