Manchester United vs Lyon: What has been said?
Speaking after his first appearance in a Man United shirt, Mount said: We’ve been working very hard [in training], so it’s good to now put it into practice and play on the pitch now. “That first week is mostly focused on getting the legs going again, getting the distance in the legs by running. “But we’ve definitely been working on a few tactics as well, coming into this game. “I’ve definitely got a great understanding of how the manager wants to work and how the boys play. “Obviously now it’s about using these games to work at it more and and putting it into practice when we get on the pitch. “It was a good start today, a good win. As I said, it’s important to get the minutes in the legs, but it’s important to win as well and that’s what we want to do this season.” “I really liked that role [deeper midfield] today,” he added. “Being able to drop in and get on the ball and start the play from a bit deeper, but also having that freedom to be able to get forward and get in the box.”

Manchester United have kicked off their pre-season with a clash against Lyon at Murrayfield in Scotland.
The Red Devils will be playing their second match of the pre-season campaign and will be looking to build on the positive result they achieved against Perth Glory in their opening game.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are yet to lose a pre-season game in his reign as manager and a win against Lyon would be a great way to continue that record ahead of the upcoming campaigns.
The match is set to take place on Saturday, 22nd July at 3:00 PM BST.
United have a number of new faces in the squad, including Harry Maguire, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who could all make their debut in the match.
Veteran keeper Lee Grant has been given the nod to play due to Solskjaer wanting David De Gea to have some rest, while options like Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Anders Herrera remain uncertain.
The match will be broadcast live on MUTV and viewers can also access the club’s official website or live streaming services for the game.
Defensive duo Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are still out due to injury, so fans can expect a number of United’s youth players to get some game time.
Manchester United have had a number of high-profile fixtures in the wake of the break for a new season and this match could be a key part of their pre-season preparation.
The clash is expected to be a close affair between two Champions League hopefuls and should be an intriguing matchup for passionate Red Devils fans.
