The 25-year-old will be the second goalkeeper to arrive at Old Trafford this summer, with Man United also signing new no.1 Andre Onana from Inter Milan.
Bayindir, who has been at Fenerbahce since 2019 and gone on to play 145 games, appeared to say farewell to the Fenerbahce fans during their game against Twente.
He was an unused substitute in a 5-1 win.
During his four years at the Turkish Super Lig club, he kept 44 clean sheets in goal.
Bayindir’s arrival will pave the way for Man United’s no.2 Dean Henderson to join Crystal Palace.
talkSPORT understands Man United and Palace have held talks over a loan-to-buy deal for Henderson, who spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest.
Roy Hodgson’s side are currently without Vicente Guaita, with the glovesman left out of the former England manager’s squad after telling the Eagles he wanted to leave.
The 26-year-old joined Man United’s academy in 2011 from Carlisle and has made 29 senior appearances for them.
