Liverpool ‘outbid’ Chelsea for Moises Caicedo as bidding war for Brighton star heats up

Liverpool have reportedly surpassed Chelsea’s bid for Brighton star Moises Caicedo.

The midfielder has been a long-standing target for the Blues and they have been working hard to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s attempts to sign him have so far been unsuccessful though, with Brighton eyeing around £100million for the Ecuadorian.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have seen three bids rejected, and could now be met with competition for his signature.

Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph reports that Premier League rivals Liverpool have outbid Chelsea.

However, Caicedo’s preference is still said to be on a move to west London rather than Merseyside.
