Lisandro Martinez looks furious after own goal in defeat to Tottenham as Manchester United bench vent anger

Lisandro Martinez was seen seething after deflecting the ball into his own net in a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham.

With Manchester United 1-0 down in the Premier League after Pape Matar Sarr’s 49th minute opener, Martinez inadvertently doubled the hosts’ lead late on.

A scruffy shot from Ben Davies fooled the Argentine, who then failed to make proper contact on his clearance, caressing the ball past Andre Onana.

It went down as a Martinez own goal, and he was seen staring into the distance in fury that he couldn’t stop the rot.

And with it coming in the 83rd minute, Spurs were able to hold on and secure their first win of the season under new boss Ange Postecoglou.

Martinez wasn’t the only one fuming with United’s inability to back up their opening day win over Wolves, with cameras panning to a heated bench.

Marcus Rashford was seen throwing an object on the ground in anger after his substitution.

Meanwhile fellow England international Mason Mount appeared to be absolutely livid beside him.
