Kaoru Mitoma plays ‘like prime Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs’
Brighton star Kaoru Mitoma is playing like a prime Ryan Giggs at the moment in the Premier League.
That is the verdict of ex-Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino, who believes the Seagulls star is at the top of his game.

It comes after another sensational display from the Japan international, who helped the Seagulls put Wolves to the sword on Saturday.
Roberto De Zerbi’s men crushed their Premier League opponents 4-1 at the Molineux with Mitoma getting on the scoresheet.
It was the 26-year-old’s early strike that set the pace for the away side with a breathtaking solo goal, weaving in and out of Wolves defenders before slotting past Jose Sa.
And speaking on talkSPORT with Natalie Sawyer, Cascarino was left blown away, comparing the winger to Manchester United legend Giggs.
The former Chelsea star, who played against Giggs when he was starting out at Old Trafford, said: “Mitoma is on another level.
“I said to you off-air Nat that it is like watching Ryan Giggs at his very best.
“He is direct. I was lucky and very fortunate, Ryan Giggs at the start of his career, I was watching him and playing against him.
“He was frightening, Ryan Giggs. He would just run at you when he was a winger. Obviously, he changed his game.

And Cascarino has compared the Brighton ace to ‘prime Giggs’
“But Mitoma just goes at people for fun.”
Mitoma was one of the breakout stars at Brighton last season as they finished sixth in the Premier League – their highest position in the division.
In 33 appearances, he scored seven and made five after becoming a more key player when Leandro Trossard left in January for Arsenal.
And he has continued his fine form while Brighton are currently top of the Premier League after two wins out of two and eight goals scored.
But while Mitoma’s goal might be an early contender for goal of the season, De Zerbi has insisted that plenty of players can score just like that.
“Mitoma is a top player and when you have a top player you can expect goals like today,” he said.
“We have not only Mitoma. We have Joao Pedro, (Julio) Enciso, (Danny) Welbeck, (Adam) Lallana, (Evan) Ferguson, (Simon) Adingra, (Solly) March, (Facundo) Buonanotte. I think we are in a very good condition in attack.”
