John Terry loves ‘amazing’ Mauricio Pochettino and tips ‘unbelievable’ Raheem Sterling to star for Chelsea
John Terry is still confident that Mauricio Pochettino will be a success at Chelsea despite a tough start in west London.
The former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain manager arrived at the Blues on a two-year deal during the summer, but it hasn’t been easy for him so far.

Life at Chelsea began with a positive pre-season campaign that saw them go unbeaten across their five summer fixtures.
However, competitive form has not been as impressive given they have won just one Premier League game out of four this season.
Defeats have come against West Ham and Nottingham Forest, while they scraped past League Two AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup.
Despite such a mixed start to proceedings, Terry remains hopeful that Pochettino will bring exciting performances to the club.
Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT, he said: “I love Poch, I’ve met him a couple of times and had the privilege to be around him at the training ground. He works the players very hard, tactically amazing and I think given time, he’s definitely the right man for the job.”
Terry added: “We’ve seen over the years with his experience with him and what he’s done previously, we are a young squad, they’ve literally just been thrown together, haven’t they?
“There’s a lot of talent there, we’ve had a few injuries as well not go our way, so listen there is loads of football to be played this season, but hopefully exciting stuff.
“And this year, I can see it as more of a kind of blending together and then we will see where we go next season.”

One of Chelsea’s standout performers so far this season has been Raheem Sterling, who scored twice in the 3-0 win over Luton Town – the Blues’ only win of the league campaign so far.
He also impressed against West Ham despite defeat, and Terry believes the former Manchester City man could prove to be key this season.
Terry added: “I watched him specifically, the West Ham game he was unbelievable, just from my past of playing against him, he always wanted to go by me and go down the side of me or make those runs in between me.
“He’s always a threat as well, and I think the modern day player can come to feet now a little bit and want the ball to feet, which is very easy for defenders.

“People like Gabs [Gabby Agbonlahor] and Sterling, when they run in behind it’s difficult, I think if he continues to do that, he’ll be great for us this year.
“It’s a shame he didn’t get called up for England, but a good thing for Chelsea I think.”
Terry made a return to Stamford Bridge on Saturday night when a Chelsea Legends side beat Bayern Munich Legends 4-0.
The occasion was in tribute to Blues icon Gianluca Vialli who sadly passed away this year, with Terry getting himself on the scoresheet.
