Manchester United exile Jadon Sancho has been spotted watching the Under-18s in action at Carrington on Saturday.

It comes as the first-team prepares to face Brighton – live on talkSPORT 2 – with Sancho told to stay away.

The 23-year-old has been training on his own at Carrington after being banned from first-team training.

And he was present at United’s training ground as the Under-18s got underway against Nottingham Forest Under-18s in an early kick-off on Saturday.

While he watched the academy team play, there is no chance of Sancho being involved against Brighton, who the Red Devils face in a Premier League clash on the latter kick-off of the day.

Erik ten Hag has told the forward that he will not train with the first-team after refusing to apologise following a public row.

The United boss accused Sancho of not training well enough in the build-up to the match against Arsenal before the international break.

That claim was vehemently denied by the Englishman, taking to social media to denounce his boss’ words and pinning it to his personal Twitter page and liked by Marcus Rashford.

He wrote: “Please don’t believe everything you read. I will not allow people to say things that are completely untrue.

“I have conducted myself in training very well this week.”

United posted a statement on their website that revealed that Sancho would not train with the first-team.

It came after it was reported that the player refused to apologise to Ten Hag over his social media posts.

The Dutch coach refused to field questions on the former Borussia Dortmund star when asked about his availability for the rest of the season.

And speaking on talkSPORT’s The Sport Bar, former Tottenham star Jamie O’Hara was shocked at how United have treated the winger.

“I think it’s disgusting what they’re doing to him,” O’Hara said on The Sports Bar.

“I know he’s come out and made a statement, whether that was the right thing to do or not… but was it right of Ten Hag to dig him out when he wasn’t even involved with the group?

“We all know Jadon Sancho needs to be better on the football pitch. And how he does that is getting him back playing football, getting him training and enjoying his football.

“What they’re doing to him right now is never going to get Jadon Sancho back to his best. All you’re going to do is mentally damage the football player and make him feel worse than he already does.”
