‘It’s getting annoying’ – German broadcaster rants at Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy over Harry Kane to Bayern Munich transfer saga

A German broadcaster has expressed their frustration with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy regarding Harry Kane’s potential move to Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga club has been pursuing the England captain throughout the summer but has been unable to reach an agreement with Tottenham. Bayern’s latest offer of £85 million plus add-ons was rejected by Spurs, leaving the European giants disappointed.

Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg took the opportunity to vent his frustration towards Levy during a live broadcast. Plettenberg urged Levy to accept the offer and finalize the transfer, as the lack of progress was becoming annoying for everyone involved. He even admitted that it was irritating him personally.

It remains to be seen whether Bayern can convince Levy to part ways with Kane before their first Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen on August 18. Alternatively, Bayern may explore other options for a new striker during the remaining time in the transfer window. Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with a move to Bayern, but he is considered a backup plan behind Kane.

Despite Bayern’s eagerness to complete the deal quickly, Tottenham seems to be relaxed about Kane’s future. If an agreement with Bayern cannot be reached before their Premier League opener against Brentford on Sunday, it is believed that Kane will stay at the club for the final year of his contract. In this scenario, Spurs may try to persuade Kane to stay longer by offering him an improved contract, especially if he sees progress under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

In the face of the current transfer saga between German giants Bayern Munich, and English club Tottenham Hotspur over the possible transfer of English international Harry Kane, a popular German broadcaster has blasted Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy over what they describe as, ‘getting annoying.’

The openly critical comments came from German sports broadcaster BILD, in response to Levy’s reluctance to sanction a deal allowing Kane to link up with the Bayern Munich team. BILD expressed their disappointment with Levy’s behaviour in the matter, going as far as to suggest that his actions are detrimental to Kane’s own ambitions and a detriment to the game as a whole, likening Levy’s behaviour to that of a ‘bad father.’

The comments from BILD followed a similar statement from Bayern Munich’s sporting Director Hasan Salihamidžić, who last week publicly blasted the Spurs Chairman for holding up the transfer of one of England’s most talented strikers. Salihamidžić said in the televised interview that Levy’s conduct was ‘not constructive’ and that he had no intention of completing the transfer.

Kane, who has been linked with the German giants for a number of weeks, has expressed his desire to leave the London-based club in search of Champions League football. Spurs are currently 7th in the Premier League, meaning that Kane is unlikely to achieve his goal of lifting Europe’s top title by remaining at the club.

This latest disagreement between Levy and BILD is not the first public clash between the two parties, with BILD having previously criticised Levy for his handling of previous transfer negotiations. It is clear from their comments that BILD have grown frustrated with Levy’s handling of the matter, as he continues to block the move that could potentially see Kane leave for Bayern Munich.

As we await developments in this ongoing transfer saga, the situation remains tense, as Levy and BILD remain locked in a bitter dispute.
