Harry Kane’s wait for silverware continues as £100million man is denied dream Bayern Munich debut against RB Leipzig
Harry Kane’s wait for major silverware continues after Bayern Munich were beaten 3-0 by RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup final.
The former Tottenham star made his debut for the new club after being brought on in the 63rd minute with the German giants 2-0 down at the time.

He was welcomed by a standing ovation by the Bayern fans in attendance as they waited for their first glimpse of the £100million ex-Tottenham man.
The striker took to social media to confirm his move to the German giants on Saturday morning with the club themselves confirming the deal at 9am English time.
With a registration deadline of 2pm UK time, it meant that Kane was eligible to feature for Thomas Tuchel’s side, albeit with just one training session under his belt.
As expected, Kane started the contest on the bench at the Allianz Arena in Munich, but with RB Leipzig taking a 2-0 lead into the break thanks to a brace from Dani Olmo, it meant that the England skipper wouldn’t be waiting long for his opportunity.
But brought on just after the hour-mark, RB Leipzig made it 3-0 moments later when Olmo converted from the penalty spot to give Bayern Munich a mountain to climb.
Kane battled hard but struggled to make any significant impact as RB Leipzig claimed the German Super Cup.
For the 30-year-old, it means that his search for silverware continues, although he’ll be hoping that he won’t have to wait too long with the German giants.
