Harry Kane will ‘try’ to learn German and says Thomas Muller has already offered to play golf

Harry Kane has admitted he wants to ’embrace the culture’ with his move to Bayern Munich by learning German.

He has only been at the club for just two days, but he also said that Thomas Muller has already offered to play a round of golf with him.

Kane completed his move from Tottenham to Bayern on Friday in a deal worth more than £100million.

The striker made his debut a day later when he came off the bench in their 3-0 German Super Cup Final defeat to RB Leipzig.

Having spent all of his playing career in England, a move to Germany means he will have to get used to hearing a new language.

However, it’s a challenge he is willing to accept as he he and Spurs begin life without each other.

“Of course, I’m going to try and learn,” he said when asked about taking up German. “I want to try and embrace the culture and the country.”

“Just one word – Servus (hello),” he said when asked if he knew any German. “I want to have at least one or two lessons every week. It will be tough, but it’s something I’m willing to try.”

Kane has not been shy to show his love for golf when he’s not scoring on the football pitch.

Muller, one of Bayern’s most experienced players, also shares an interest in the game and appears willing to take Kane on the course.

“He’s already asked me for a game a of golf,” Kane said about his new teammate. “He’s one of the biggest leaders in this team.

“I’m excited to play with him, I think we will complement each other well.”

Kane has only just completed his move to Bayern but he also hinted at a potential return to the Premier League.

He is just 48 goals shy of Alan Shearer’s scoring record but for now, his focus is set on success at one of football’s biggest clubs.
