talkSPORT understands that Kane was registered in time to play in the match as his life at Bayern gets underway.

However, boss Thomas Tuchel has opted to name him on the bench, with Mathys Tel starting up front instead.

Kane has signed for Bayern in a deal worth more than £100million, just the second permanent club of his career.

He spent over a decade at Spurs and went on to become their all-time record goalscorer with 280 goals.

A move to Manchester City was speculated in 2021 but he opted to remain in north London for another two seasons.

With just one year remaining on his contract at Spurs though, Kane decided that now was the time to seal a move away.

He now joins a Bayern side who could be set to continue their dominance in the German top flight.

They will be seeking their 12th consecutive Bundesliga trophy this season having won it on the final day of the previous campaign.

Kane was unable to win silverware at Spurs but his switch to Bayern presents him with the opportunity to win titles.

Champions League success could be on the cards this season, the competition that Tuchel won in 2021 with Chelsea.

However, first on the agenda for Bayern is the German Super Cup final, which will be played at their own Allianz Arena.

Kane could therefore lift a trophy just one day after swapping London for Munich.
