‘GOAT’ Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates 850th goal in 5-1 Al Nassr win and Sadio Mane got in on the act too

Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved yet another remarkable milestone in his career by scoring his 850th senior career goal in a 5-1 victory for Al Nassr against Al Hazm. Despite moving to the Saudi Pro League from the Premier League and Real Madrid, Ronaldo’s goal-scoring prowess remains intact.

The match was a significant win for Al Nassr as they bounced back from a challenging start to the season. Ronaldo found the back of the net in the 68th minute, contributing to his new club’s third win of the season. In addition to his goal, he also provided two assists. Former Liverpool and Bayern Munich star Sadio Mane also scored, securing his fifth goal in five league games.

Following the match, Ronaldo took to Instagram to celebrate the victory and his milestone goal. He expressed his joy by stating, “Another great team performance! We keep improving. Let’s go @alnassr 850 career goals and still counting!” Al Nassr also joined in the celebration, posting a yellow heart and a goat emoji to signify their belief that Ronaldo is the “Greatest of All Time.”

With six goals in four games this season and a total of 20 goals in 20 Saudi Pro League appearances, Ronaldo continues to impress. However, Al Nassr still has work to do if they want to win the title this season. Currently, they are in sixth place, four points behind leaders Al Hilal, who are yet to incorporate new signing Neymar into their team.

Indeed, it was a special night for Ronaldo as he also created a new milestone in his glittering career – becoming the first and only player ever to reach the 850-goal mark in football. Born in Madeira, Portugal, he has had a formidable career so far, netting 640 of those goals for club side Real Madrid over nine successive seasons. He scored a further 118 while at Manchester United, 84 for his national side, Portugal, and 8 for his current club, Al Nassr.

His goal celebration saw him clench his fist and kiss his wedding-ring finger in tribute to his beloved wife Georgina. Portuguese teammate, Sadio Mane, also contributed to the action, providing two assists.

On the day, it was an emotional milestone that Ronaldo reached, and manager Juanma Lillo was seen embracing the forward to thank him for his continued contributions to the team.

It was a truly remarkable night for Ronaldo, as his incredible goal-scoring exploits were yet again put on show for all to see. His achievement will now surely set the benchmark, as he continues to be football’s ultimate ‘GOAT’, the best of all times.
