Gary Lineker urges Tottenham to sign ‘born goalscorer’ Evan Ferguson as Harry Kane replacement
Tottenham fans may still be coming to terms with the departure of Harry Kane, but Gary Lineker believes he has the answer.
The former Spurs striker has named Brighton star Evan Ferguson as a player he thinks the club should sign as a replacement.

After scoring 280 goals for the club, Kane concluded his time at Spurs by signing for Bayern Munich in a deal worth more than £100million.
His exit leaves a huge hole in the north London side’s attack after he netted 32 times across all competitions last season.
However, Spurs may not have to look too far to find their next man to lead the line as Lineker names Ferguson as a potential option.
After the youngster scored for Brighton against Luton, he took to X and said: “Evan Ferguson scores in Fergie time. He’s a born goalscorer.
“If I was in charge of recruitment at Spurs I’d take a punt on him as Kane’s replacement. Apologies to Brighton fans.”
18-year-old Ferguson netted the Seagull’s final goal in their 4-1 win over the Hatters, a low finish at the back-post.
He thoroughly impressed for Brighton in the previous campaign as he scored ten goals in 25 appearances.
Ferguson would have some huge boots to fill if he was to complete a move to Spurs though given how prolific Kane was for so many years.

He could now be set for silverware at BayernBayern Munich
The England captain was unable to win any titles at the club but did become their all-time record goalscorer last season.
Now at Bayern, he has the chance to collect some club silverware for his own and he could be set to lift a trophy in the coming hours.
Thomas Tuchel’s side take on RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup Final on Saturday night at their own Allianz Arena.
talkSPORT understands that Kane has been registered in time to play in the match, therefore making his debut just one day after signing.
Bayern also head into the new campaign off the back of their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title.
With Kane added to their ranks, they will surely be favourites to lift the title once again as the 30-year-old embarks on a new chapter.
Spurs play their first match without their talisman on Sunday when they make the trip across London to face Brentford.
