Footage shows Peter Crouch stack it live on TNT Sports as Joe Cole left in stitches

Peter Crouch had fans up and down the country cracking up as he stacked it live on TV.

The former England star was on punditry duty for TNT Sports for Liverpool’s trip to Wolves – which is live on talkSPORT – but soon became the main event as he slipped and fell over on the Molineux turf.

Footage shows Crouch line up a shot during analysis before the game got underway.

But despite retiring just four years ago, Crouchy hilariously forgot how to shoot, slipping and fluffing his effort as a result.

The ex-striker had his foot hilariously disappear from underneath him, sending him flying and resulting with him being left in a bundle on the floor.

Meanwhile, the ball ended up heading way off target and in the direction of a steward stood to the right of the goal.

Crouchy quickly picked himself and his microphone up with a huge smile across his face as he took in the fact that he’s just become the latest football meme.

The moment was made even better by the few fans that had turned up early in the stands, with them clapping Crouchy as he dusted himself down.

Watching the clip back after the ad break, the former goalscorer and fellow pundit Joe Cole were in fits of laughter.

“I don’t know why I do these things,” he said. “I don’t know why I get talked into it!”

Fans on social media absolutely loved it, too, with one writing: “Peter Crouch’s era as a national treasure continues.”

“A mighty fine John Terry impression from Peter Crouch in the pre-match crossbar challenge,” another joked.

Liverpool can go top of the league in the early kick-off on Saturday and overtake champions Manchester City if they take all three points back to Merseyside.
