Footage captures Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham’s reaction to Toni Kroos’ brilliant pass for Vinicius Jr’s goal
Real Madrid ace Jude Bellingham’s reaction towards Toni Kroos’ piece of brilliance summed up the qualities the German possesses.
Bellingham has taken little time to adapt to his new surroundings after signing for Los Blancos from Borussia Dortmund.
Kroos’ sublime pass put Vinicius JR in on goal, who scored for Real Madrid. The Germany international’s piece of brilliance was instantly applauded. The 20-year-old then walked away shaking his wrist, still clearly looking astonished.
The 20-year-old joined Carlos Ancelotti’s side for an initial £88.5m fee, with numerous add-ons taking the deal to £115m. Bellingham recently netted his first goal for the club in a man-of-the-match performance against Manchester United.
Then, following a 3-0 defeat to Barcelona, he was once again on the losing side as Real Madrid lost 3-1 to Juventus in their final pre-season clash in the USA.
Despite the defeat, Bellingham was left in awe of Kroos’ sublime weighted-pass to Vinicius Jr. The Brazil international then did the rest, finding the back of the net and making it 2-1. Bellingham, though, was so stunned with Kroos’ ball that he could be seen applauding the Germany international.
The midfielder starred in a 4-4-2 diamond formation alongside Kroos and Luka Modric. “It allows us the opportunity to vary the system. I’m fine with not having a fixed system,” Ancelotti told Diario AS post-match.
Bellingham shone alongside Kroos and Modric in midfield. “On an individual level, we have learned the best quality of Bellingham, who is an attacking midfielder and performs better than as a central midfielder. We will have to see it during the season.”

Jude Bellingham was left amazed by the passing prowess of Real Madrid star Toni Kroos in Tuesday night’s La Liga clash between Los Blancos and Valencia.
The 17-year-old midfielder, who joined Real from Borussia Dortmund in July, watched in admiration from the sidelines as Kroos’ inch-perfect pass to Vinicius Jr. gave the home side the lead in the 18th minute of the match at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.
Footage captured of Bellingham showed the teenager with his hands on his head in wonderment at the 58-year old’s assist. Kroos’ pass from just outside Real’s own penalty area released the Brazilian forward in space before he finished clinically.
Bellingham later tweeted his appreciation of Kroos’ sublime ball:
“What a pass from the boss @ToniKroos 🤩😳 #HalaMadrid”.
Kroos further impressed by going on to score a stunning strike of his own in a 5-3 victory for Madrid. The vital win sees the defending champions move back up into third spot in the Spanish top-flight.
Bellingham will be hoping that he can learn from Kroos and display similar levels of skill, technique and vision in his first season in the Spanish capital. With years of experience in the game, it is no wonder he was the chosen recipient of Kroos’ expert delivery.
