Bissouma starred against Brentford on the opening weekend of the Premier League and proved key in their win over Manchester United.

His form has coincided with Spurs’ impressive start to life under Postecoglou, with the north London side unbeaten in the league.

Top flight club football has now paused for the international break as countries compete in various qualification campaigns and friendlies.

Bissouma received another call-up to the Mali national team and was able to show his class once again.

During their 4-0 African Cup of Nations qualifying win against South Sudan, the midfielder pulled off some sublime skill.

He raced into the box and took the ball to the byline before cutting back with his heel to leave the goalkeeper on the floor.

Bissouma then squared it across the face of goal for Nene Dorgeles to score Mali’s final goal of the night.

Fans were quick to praise the Spurs man for his efforts in the assist as one took to X [formerly Twitter] to say: “This is pure filth from Bissouma.”

“This guy is in top form top top assist from him,” added a second.

A third said: “Nah Bissouma is just playing at this point how can you be this good at football???”

Bissouma made just 12 starts for Spurs in the previous campaign but has featured from the off in all their league matches this term.

His form has been impressive to say the least and fans will be hoping he can maintain those standards all season long, with the star now showing why Spurs paid £25million to sign him from Brighton last summer.
