Everton fans spotted leaving eight minutes after half-time as Toffees go 3-0 down to Aston Villa
Large swathes of Everton fans have seen enough after watching their side going 3-0 down to Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
Sections of the away fans at Villa Park immediately made their way for the exits moments after Leon Bailey’s strike.
It came after some abysmal defending from a throw-in where Michael Keane’s poor clearance could only find the Villa attacker.
And Bailey made no mistake, slotting through Jordan Pickford’s legs to put them three goals up minutes into the second-half.
It is nothing less than what Villa have deserved after a crushing display in front of their own fans.
Unai Emery’s men did not waste too long before getting on the scoresheet when they eased through Everton’s defence for the opener.
Bailey was instrumental again, leaving his old teammate Ashley Young for dead before handing John McGinn a tap-in to make it 1-0.
Pickford was then at fault when he crashed into Ollie Watkins, giving away a penalty in the process.
Douglas Luiz made no mistake from the spot, making it 2-0 after 24 minutes.
Everton had a miserable campaign last season and were fortunate not to get relegated.
Even with the arrival of Sean Dyche as manager, a coach notorious for working with a shoestring budget and getting results, it has still been tough going for the Toffees.
