Erik ten Hag gives sharp response to Harry Kane regret question and insists he’s happy with ‘big talent’ Rasmus Hojlund
Erik ten Hag is fully backing Rasmus Hojlund to thrive at Manchester United and insists he doesn’t regret failing to sign Harry Kane.
Ten Hag’s Man United were heavily linked with England captain Kane in consecutive transfer windows, but the former Tottenham man ended up joining Bayern.

Moving to the Bundesliga giants for a £100m fee that could rise to £100million, Kane has gotten off to a flyer on and off the pitch.
Next up for the 30-year-old is a Champions League clash with his former suitors United, live on talkSPORT, who will likely be lining up with Hojlund up front, a striker ten years his junior.
Despite Hojlund being younger and cheaper than Kane, he’s drastically less proven than England’s top scorer, and that point was put to Ten Hag ahead of the Bayern match.
“We discussed it in San Diego [during pre-season] so I don’t think we have to repeat this debate,” he said.
“I’m happy with Rasmus, obviously the first games he was injured, he played against Arsenal, he had a start.
“Of course we have to integrate him in the team but you can see he’s a big talent, he will contribute to our game, we are quite confident of that.”
The Dutchman was then asked if he has any regrets about not signing Kane, and responded with a swift and sharp ‘No.’
Danish striker Hojlund comes to United with a big reputation, having scored six goals in eight games for his country.

His output hasn’t been as convincing for former side Atalanta, but United fans got a glimpse of his talent against Brighton last time out.
The no.11 had the ball in the net during the defeat, but his equaliser was ruled out by the smallest of margins with the Seagulls going on to win 3-1.
Still, the home crowd were impressed, so much so that they booed the decision to substitute Hojlund in the 64th minute.
