Chelsea set to make formal approach for Leeds star Tyler Adams and still target Moises Caicedo

According to talkSPORT, Chelsea are reportedly planning to make a formal approach to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds this summer. The Blues are said to be interested in the United States international, who has a £20 million release clause.

It is worth noting that Adams is currently recovering from an injury and is expected to return to action in September. Despite already having a long-term target in Moises Caicedo for the same position, Chelsea is still keen on signing the Brighton star as well.

Chelsea are set to make a formal approach for Leeds United star Tyler Adams, according to reports. The Blues remain keen to bolster their midfield options and Adams has been identified as the ideal candidate.

The 21-year-old has been impressing in the Championship, making 24 appearances since his move from MLS side Red Bulls New York in January. Adams, who can play in a number of positions across the midfield and in defence, has been attracting attention from some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.

Chelsea are hoping to beat fellow Premier League sides to the signing of Adams and are preparing a formal approach for the player. They will hope to secure a deal for Adams before the end of the current transfer window.

In addition to Adams, Chelsea are also reportedly still interested in signing Moises Caicedo from Ecuadorian side Independiente. It had been reported that the Blues were close to completing a move for the 19-year-old midfielder but the deal appears to have broken down.

The Blues will now have to decide whether to push on with a deal for Adams or to rekindle their interest in Caicedo as they look to add to their slim midfield options. Either way, it looks set to be a busy transfer window for Chelsea.
