Baleba could be the next star to put pen to paper on a deal at BrightonGetty
talkSPORT reported earlier in August that Brighton have already sounded out his replacement, with Baleba being eyed.
With just days remaining in the transfer window, Roberto De Zerbi’s side could be set to land their man after agreeing a deal with Lille.
Baleba is set to travel to from France to England for a medical on Monday before signing a five-year deal.
He is set to be their fourth signing of the summer after Joao Pedro, Bart Verbruggen and Igor.
Baleba, a versatile midifielder, has made 23 appearances for Lille and has already featured twice for them this season.
Aged just 19, he certainly has a lot of room for improvement and could shine like some of Brighton’s other young stars.
A move to the Seagulls will also present him with the chance to play Europa League football this season.
Brighton have enjoyed a strong start to the current campaign having won both of their opening games against Luton and Wolves 4-1.

European football presents them with a further chance of winning silverware, something they haven’t done since 2011 when the finished top of League One.
De Zerbi will be hoping Baleba can be the man to fill the void left by Caicedo’s departure as he and Brighton eye another successful year.
