Bayern Munich launch final £86million bid for Harry Kane but Tottenham unfazed by deadline

The rumors linking Harry Kane to Bayern Munich are not going away. Tottenham Hotspur has received an offer of £86 million from Bayern for the striker. Thomas Tuchel, the manager of the German giants, has made Kane his top target as they aim to replace Robert Lewandowski. Kane has only one year left on his contract and is determined to win trophies, which is why he is not willing to sign a new deal with Spurs.

According to Sky Germany, Bayern has made an offer of £86 million, including potential add-ons, for Kane. However, it remains to be seen if Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will agree to the sale, despite valuing the player at around £100 million. The deadline for Spurs to respond is midnight on Friday, but it seems that they are not concerned about the time limit.

Negotiations between the two clubs have been ongoing for weeks, with Bayern executives even traveling to London to discuss the deal. However, the talks have not progressed, leading Bayern to set a deadline for Spurs. If Spurs fail to meet their demands, Bayern will walk away from the transfer and pursue other targets. Although Spurs would risk losing Kane for free next year, they are reportedly not worried about that possibility.

Kane had another impressive season in front of goal in 2022/23. If Spurs reluctantly accept Bayern’s £86 million proposal, it would break their previous club-record signing. Bayern paid £68 million for French defender Lucas Hernandez in 2019, almost £20 million less than what they are willing to pay for Kane.

Tuchel’s side had a £70 million offer for Kane rejected by Spurs earlier. It is believed that Kane is open to a new adventure abroad, with reports suggesting that his wife was seen house-hunting in Munich last month. If Kane fails to secure a move before the start of the new season, he is expected to see out his contract at Spurs. He would then be able to sign a pre-agreement with Bayern or any other European club outside of the UK in the winter transfer window.

In other news, talkSPORT has launched a new match center where fans can stay updated with all the latest Tottenham fixtures, results, and live Premier League standings. You can find the Tottenham fixtures for the 2023/24 season, Tottenham results for the same season, Premier League fixtures and results, and the live Premier League table on the talkSPORT website.
Bayern Munich have made their final bid to secure the services of Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane, with an £86 million offer. The German champions have been in pursuit of Kane for months, and had previously made a joint bid of £50 million plus Jerome Boateng for the England striker. However, the offer from Bayern has been rejected by Tottenham.

Kane is one of the most coveted strikers in world football, with his impressive goal-scoring record attracting the attention of Europe’s top clubs. Bayern’s final bid is a testament to the strength of their interest in Kane and shows that they are willing to pay a significant amount of money in order to acquire one of the world’s most sought-after players.

Tottenham are reportedly unfazed by Bayern’s deadline and remain firm in their stance that Kane is not for sale. The club are adamant that Kane won’t be allowed to leave the club, with chairman Daniel Levy reportedly reiterating the club’s long-term commitment to the English frontman.

Tottenham are fully aware that a number of other elite clubs are circling around Kane and are unwilling to weaken their attack. Tottenham have a record of standing their ground over stars they wish to keep and are refusing to cut their losses with Kane.

Kane is happy at Tottenham and with his team-mates and it will take a huge offer to convince Spurs to part with him. Barring a late change of heart, Tottenham are apparently set to turn down any more advances for their much valued star with deadline day about to pass.
