Bayern Munich eye Chelsea star Conor Gallagher in shock late move

Chelsea have received an enquiry from Bayern Munich for Conor Gallagher, talkSPORT understands.

It remains uncertain if Chelsea will listen to offers for Gallagher before the transfer window closes.

Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel knows all about the England international from his time at Chelsea.

Gallagher’s future appeared bleak following the additions of Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Lesley Ugochukwu but the 23-year-old has started all three of the Blues’ Premier League games this season.

Chelsea’s embarrassment of riches in midfield could see Gallagher shipped out before Friday’s transfer deadline as the west London club look to recoup funds after a summer of intense spending.

Meanwhile, Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is open to a move to Bayern after the Bundesliga giants held provisional talks with Chelsea.

The 24-year-old still has five years remaining on his existing deal but could make a switch to Bavaria before Friday’s deadline.

Tuchel appears keen to add further Premier League experience to his new-look Bayern squad who are expected to challenge for the Champions League following the arrival of Harry Kane earlier this month.

The England skipper has made a promising start to life in Germany with three goals in his opening two league games including a double in Bayern’s 3-1 win over Augsburg on Sunday.

Kane’s presence at Bayern could make a potential move for Gallagher and Chalobah more tempting as both players look to maximise game time ahead of summer’s European Championships in Germany.
