Gabriel Jesus could make his first start of the season for the Gunners after overcoming a knee problem.
But Jurrien Timber and Mohamed Elneny are long-term injury absentees.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta could elect to bring Gabriel Magalhaes and Oleksandr Zinchenko back into the side.
For United, Raphael Varane has been ruled out for a few weeks while Mason Mount and Luke Shaw are out with unspecified injuries.
They join Kobbie Mainoo, Amad Diallo and Tyrell Malacia on the sidelines.

Arsenal vs Man United: What has been said?
Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor believes Arteta needs to stop tinkering with his team.
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “Why is Arteta trying to do this experiment with Arsenal? Why are you playing with no striker? Why are you playing with a false nine and why have you not started [Eddie] Nketiah?
“Why are you playing [Kai] Havertz? Why is Thomas Partey playing right-back?
“Why aren’t you playing [Ben] White, [William] Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko in a back four, a midfield of Partey, [Declan] Rice and [Martin] Odegaard and then [Bukayo] Saka, Nketiah and [Gabriel] Martinelli? That’s the team that Arsenal should be playing.”
