It’s been an impressive start to the season for the Gunners skipper, who already has two goals in the opening four Premier League games.
He has now scored his first international goal of the campaign, with his 33rd minute strike proving to be the winner.
In what is becoming a trademark Odegaard goal, he latched onto a cutback inside the box, before drilling a low effort into the bottom corner.
And Arsenal fans were left drooling by his outing on Tuesday night at the Ullevaal Stadion as they took to social media to fawn over the midfielder.
Sharing highlights of the player’s best bits from the match, one user posted: “Odegaard vs Georgia. Brilliant performance. Levels above.
“Just like watching Messi toying with the opponents when he knew he was better than everybody else on the pitch. Playful but still extremely hard working.”
Replying to the montage, one fan boldly said: “Odegaard is better than Messi.”
Another messaged: “Martin Odegaard on the cutback.. he’s reaching that Messi inevitability.”

Prior to the match, Odegaard gave Arsenal fans a huge boost after admitting he wants to stay at the club amid rumoured contract talks.
He told Norwegian outlet Nettavisen: “I don’t have much to say, apart from the fact that I am very happy at Arsenal and I hope I can be there for a long time.
“Beyond that, I have no comment right now. Now, it is the national team that is in focus.”
