Alexis Mac Allister red card overturned after Liverpool appeal with key man set for huge Newcastle clash
Alexis Mac Allister’s red card in Liverpool’s win over Bournemouth has been rescinded following an appeal.
The Argentine made his Anfield debut for the Reds on Saturday as they went on to secure a 3-1 victory.

However, Mac Allister was sent off just before the hour mark for what was a high boot on Cherries star Ryan Christie.
Replays of the tackle showed the referee’s decision may well have been a harsh one as both players boots were raised, and Liverpool appealed the call.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have been successful in doing so, with the Football Association’s Independent Regulatory Commission overturning the red card.
Mac Allister would have missed three games but will now be available for selection against Newcastle on Sunday.
After that the Reds host Aston Villa, and then travel to Wolves after the international break, two matches Mac Allister can now feature in.
The 24-year-old has so far made two appearances for the Reds since his summer arrival from Brighton.
He played the full 90 minutes in their 1-1 draw away at Chelsea on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.
Mac Allister was then named in the starting XI against Bournemouth, with Liverpool still winning despite his dismissal.
Antoine Semenyo opened the scoring for the visitors after just three minutes but Luis Diaz pulled them level.
Mohamed Salah then netted a rebound after initially missing a penalty before Diogo Jota sealed all three points.
A trip to Newcastle no awaits them this weekend as they look to further improve on a strong start to the campaign.
